I have taught in and outside of museums, as well as developed partnership programs with local fine art schools since 2013. I enjoy bringing fine art students into the museum to explore collections that inspire and inform their own work as well as finding ways to help visitors, especially kids, connect to collections through VTS learning techniques (Visual Thinking Strategies) and art making activities. I have presented at NEMA (New England Museum Association) workshops and conferences and been able to bring students and collections together “behind the scenes” at the Boston Museum of Art, the Loring-Greenough Historic House and Eliot School of Fine Arts in Jamaica Plain, MA, as well as at Cranbrook Art Museum, the Center for Craft and Applied Arts, and at the Detroit Institute of Arts in the Detroit Metro area of Michigan.
