Color and Design for Sewers
March 25, 2017 –
Level: Absolute Beginner. No sewing experience required.
Many sewers love the process of creating something with their own two hands, but are less comfortable selecting fabrics that are harmonious in color and design. If that sounds like a familiar conundrum, then this accessible and fun workshop is for you! It is open to all experience levels, quilters, apparel, and home dec sewists alike. We will not be doing any sewing, but will focus completely on playing with fabric(!), giving you a hands-on experience with color, pattern, and basic design concepts that will help you create pleasing fabric combinations all on your own.
Together, we will:
Each student will receive their own color wheel, worksheets, and leave with a custom FQ bundle of their own creation as well as a new understanding for how to create dynamic palettes and fabric combinations.
